Do you have contracts?

 No, we do not have contracts. We continue to service your property season after season at the same or upgraded service level as the previous season.

How do you send invoices and bills?

We are a very trusting company and we will invoice you via email after a service has been performed. In rare cases, a prepayment may be required.

How do I pay my invoice?

Your invoice is emailed to you and you can click and pay online, setup bill pay, mail us check, Venmo or Zelle. All the necessary information will be on your invoice.

Can I get on the grass with my kids and pets after a treatment?

Yes, we will always leave a little yard sign with the time and date letting you know we were there. It states “Keep Off Until Dry”. If it is dry then you are good to get on the lawn. In most cases it will be dry in an hour or two after a treatment.

When can a mow after a treatment?

It is best to wait at least one day before mowing, but sometimes timing doesn’t allow. As long as you don’t make habit of mowing right after a treatment it will be fine.

Why do weeds keep coming back?

There are many different type of weeds and different times of the year with they germinate. There is no one spray or permanent treatment. Our lawn care programs address all broadleaf weeds and there many different life cycles. You will have little to none on our program.

How much water does my lawn need?

In most cases you will need a minimum of 1’’ per week and in the summer heat more like 1.5’’. Anything over the 2’’ mark can start to cause problems. It is best to water a few times a week and early in the morning. Don’t water at night. I will be happy to send you more tips and tricks if you need more information please inquire.

I just got aeration/seeding, how do I water?

After aeration/seeding you will need to water a little more frequently with less run time. Tall Fescue takes 10-14 days to germinate so 2-3 times per day for the next 2 weeks would be ideal.

What if it rains right after you treated my lawn?

Almost always rain will benefit the treatment working the products into the soil for absorption in the root zone. If rain or irrigation should be avoided you will be notified accordingly, this is very rare.

What type of seed do you use?

We only use Turf Type Tall Fescue (TTTF) for our cool season grasses that we aerate/seed. It is a 3 way blend with a minimum 90% germination rate and no fillers or coatings. It can not be bought at big box stores.

When should I start watering my lawn?

You should be watering your lawn well before the stresses of summer set in. I always like to remember to be watering by Derby Weekend (1st week of May) and around the time changes in November, you can let Mother Nature take over.

Should I aerate and seed my Tall Fescue lawn every year?

Yes, aeration/seeding is the single most important thing you can do every year in the fall for a nice lawn.

How short can I cut my Tall Fescue lawn?

4’’ is a good height for Tall Fescue. It is called “tall” fescue for a reason. If your mower has a 4.5’’ setting I would use that in the summer time. You can get away with cutting it closer in the cooler months.
